ETF's activities have been reported in newspapers and heard on the TV & radio in Montreal, Caribbean, Hong Kong and Beijing China, revealing enthusiastic media acceptance of the simple EcoTaskForce philosophy about learning - Each one Teach one Fun ... with FUN referring to respecting the Force of Universal Nature.

The EcoTaskForce raises funds in diverse ways - through membership fees ($50 for a Cell of 5 people) awards and donations (ETF received both the Alumni Committee Ecosense award and Student Affairs Committee Special Projects from Concordia University ).

The EcoTaskForce will also accept corporate cash and in-kind donations in addition to its fundraising activities.

In observation that telecommunications opened China, brought down the Berlin Wall and exposed hidden environmental tragedies of the former Soviet Union, the membership feels that positive internet use and personal telecommunications combined with the actions of the ETF could be key elements to building worldwide environmental harmony.

What do we do with award money, membership fees and corporate assistance?

We are not a fund-raising organization. We are action-oriented. We re-invest in ETF volunteers, and their time is better invested in growing the movement, not collecting money.

Our goal is to attract new participants for Wildlife Rescue Training, Beach Party Cleanups, Tree Planting Parties, Bird-counts, Neighbourhood Recycling Parties, Eco-Art Parties, Eco-Tourism Etiquette Training and Adventure Race Team Training.

Without a traditional style line and staff "head office administration", the flat, de-centralized cellular model of the ETF invests in educational publicity and distribution, utilizing funds available for speakers, community hall rentals, educational materials and expenses.

To date, over 97% of the the costs to organize and operate the ETF internationally have been paid for by volunteer's limited out-of-pocket personal funding.

The ETF membership looks forward to industry, corporations and public institutions to share this grand adventure & responsibility with the ETF, and work together to build an environmentally sustainable future.
